the land cruiser

In stark contrast to the elegant wedding on Saturday, Monday we went off-roading in my Dad's crazy Land Cruiser! It looks like a big, yellow safari jeep, and it is his dearly beloved vehicle.

(On our visit to Wyoming last year with Makia and Kendrick, this Land Cruiser broke down on us in the middle-of-no-where on a dirt road. Luckily, we were rescued by a saintly cyclist riding past... thanks Bill!)

We drove up Sinks Canyon to a rugged, steep road that led to the top of a little mountain. Over the big rocks things got pretty bumpy, which really freaked out Olivia. She kept screaming bloody murder, bawling and yelling, "Get me out of this car! Get me out of this thing!" A little dramatic, yeah. But she had fun in the end!

 

It was a perfect Wyoming activity. And look how gorgeous that view is! 

The whole weekend in Lander was really nice and we had a lovely time with my family. Every trip to Wyoming is definitely an adventure!
