outer banks weekend

This last weekend Kevin and I took a mini getaway! We wanted to see the coast of North Carolina and heard wonderful things about the Outer Banks. So, we decided we'd better go before school and life get busier (a.k.a baby!). We had such a nice time!

Kevin wanted to get up early Saturday morning to see the sunrise on the beach. It was beautiful! And my reward for getting up early, besides the amazing view, was donuts for breakfast. My favorite.

We went back later when the weather got warmer. The beach was lovely! The water was really calm, and it wasn't too cold (I even got in!)

I am definitely looking very prego these days!

We checked out some other neat sites while we weren't at the beach. We went to the Wright Brother's Memorial and saw the place where they first flew their plane!

We also drove along the coast and found a little lighthouse. So picturesque.

Sunday after church we decided to explore the biggest sand dunes on the East Coast. On the way out of town we stopped and hiked around. Kevin enjoyed himself by jumping in the sand, and we ran down the hills. So fun!

North Carolina is so beautiful and we can't wait to come back to the Outer Banks. We loved it!
