This July, Kevin and I got to take an amazing trip to Costa Rica! My parents were going down with my Aunt and cousins and invited us to come stay at an awesome jungle tree house with them. It was hot, sweaty, relaxing, and very adventurous. Here are some photos!
We had to take a tiny plane that only sat 12 people to get down to Puerto Jimenez.

There were no windows, just shutters, so we had to sleep with mosquito nets.
Hanging out at Martina's, the only restaurant. We went there a lot.
The Costa Ricans played their last game in the World Cup while we were there, which was so fun! Everyone came from miles around and packed into the little bar. The was a lot of screaming, cheering and emotions! It was sad when they lost, but they put up a great fight.
Right outside of our house we saw tons of wildlife! It was amazing. We saw probably 10-20 monkeys swinging by one afternoon. Dad luring them out of the trees with a banana.
The boys went deep-sea and spear fishing a couple of times, while the girls did yoga and got massages.
Kevin got pretty seasick on one of the boats and spent most of the day sleeping.
The beach was just out front of the house so of course, the boys were out on the waves surfing every day!
One of the highlights of the trip was and adventurous day hiking through the jungle.
We climbed up a big vine covered tree and then swung down, Tarzan-style. It was terrifying, but exhilarating!
Then we repelled down some incredible waterfalls!
Kevin and the boys decided to repel down "Aussie-style." It freaked me out, but it looked really cool!
It was a fabulous trip! We already miss the beach and being with our family.
