jingles the classroom elf

This December has been particularly exciting in Mrs. Turner's 2nd grade. Santa sent us our own Elf on the Shelf!

We promptly voted on a name as a class and the end result was Jingle Cosmo Elf (we just call him Jingles). Every night he reports to Santa whether the students have been naughty or nice, and then comes back to hide and cause mischief!

We have found him all over the classroom.
One of his best hiding spots was flying up in a hot air balloon!

 

One morning he was hanging out using our listening center.

And the other day he was enjoying a game of Connect 4 with "Chunky Monkey"

 Jingles was naughty and snuck into the candy basket...

 

and had some fun making a mess out of our math manipulatives!

 

The other day we were taste testing some gingerbread cookies for Christmas Around the World and some students left him a snack.

They were thrilled the next day when they found all of the cookies eaten and a thank you note from Jingles!

It's so fun to watch the student come in excitedly searching for him each morning. They think he is just hilarious. We love our elf!
